Hello everyone!

I've made this small feedback list in order to express my opinion on this matter (for what it worths, anyway): 

1. IE6, Windows Version, does not support PNG standards. Since the Aero theme is heavly powered by PNG images it causes IE6 to render the site with some weird image backgrounds;
2. The new Web Hosting tab managed to crach IE6 more than once, don't know why. Can just assure you it doesn't crash anywhere else;
3. Overall the site is way more heavy, which is bad for an infinite number of reasons;
4. As far as I've seen the Aero theme seems to be the new ASPnix's flagship design. Well, as Bubbi (I think) said the vast MAJORITY of the internet users use IE6. Now tell me, having a fast and still good looking site isn't better than a heavy 'n' buggy killer queen design when it comes to new clients? When I first heard of ASPnix I visited their site under IE6. If they had the site with this theme I wouldn't sign in for sure, but that's just me :)

I don't have anything againts the theme. It looks cool and thumbs up for doing it. But making it a flagship when the majority can't run it properly is prolly not necessary :)

I would add to DBA's post that the Home page tab has the following problem - the visible portion loads as expected, "done" is displayed in the status bar, but it continues to load (probably menu/javascript) for at least 10-15 seconds, during which time you cannot click on anything and have it function. If you stay on the Home tab/page it then goes into an infinite loop reloading 44 images... Hardly something you would want potential customers to see or endure.

 Edit: Here are the current Browser percentages -

Designs should work in the major versions of available browsers. Any forced or otherwise upgrade to IE7 is months away. In the meantime, how many customers will find the site unresponsive and buggy and take their business elsewhere?

1. IE6 works with Aero, AeroClassic to infact, I've tested aero extensively with IE6 and it seems to be able to handle it, there's a bit of javascript which runs to make the logo and other images transparent, this script is quite widely used for PNG's and IE6
2. Crashing IE6 and thw webhosting tab, now I don't even know where to say WTF?? The Webhosting tab doesn't even use any client side script (other than the usual aeroscripts) so I don't know how it crashes. Although I will look into it.
3. The size is coming down, most of the size is because of debugging code in Aero atm, if you don't like the size because of the Aero PNG's, select AeroClassic and then view your website
4. Aero is nb development's new CS 2.1 Theme, ASPnix have just implemented it.  IE6 will be forcefully updated This december when Microsoft forces the update!  Once again heavy, there's only a couple of more files to load in aero,  1 of which is only for IE6 and just handles PNG's.  If you think Aero is sluggish then use AeroClassic, it uses GIF's!
   

Once again, it's not a sole production from ASPnix, me @ nb development made the theme, and helped ASPnix customize CS and Aero to work for there needs.

1) Aye, very famous script indeed. What I ment is that every now and then it loads the pics with gray background. Prolly some bug on the script trigger?

2) Your reaction was pretty much like mine, mate. I didn't have the time to try and figure what was going on to crash / freeze the IE6. Judging from the previous posts I wasn't the same to have that problem. If I have more spare time tomorrow I can try take another look.

3 and 4) I switched back to Community Server's theme, problem solved :)
From a business prespective, I think things are not being done the way they should be (pretty much since the lastest big e-mail server issue). But, since it's not my business so I don't think I should be discussing this subject (in public at least) ^^ :P

O, if you do find the problem with those pages let me know, I'll have a look into fixing them.

I'll continue to work on IE6 compatibility, maybe I can rewrite some of the CSS to load IE6 quicker and better, I'll have a look into this.

With regards to 1, the PNG script will only run once the page has finished loading, this prevents some PNG's from not getting made transparent.

Nick, I'm sorry for not being all specific. Loads of things going on at the same time. The sidebar pics are not displaying with transparent BG. The logo, as you said, goes to transper at the end of the loading. Were they suposed to?
