While the AIDS virus is proving dificult to erradicate, that is only one "bug" compared to the numerous found in Windows. Think of it as a collection of all the world's illnesses. On the bright side, if you work in I.T. then you job security because of all the problems. If the O.S. was perfect, there wouldn't be a need for I.T. support. Thus, leaving countless people without a job. Stick out tongue

I guess if it was easy to either cure AIDS or get all the bugs out of Windows, then anyone could do it.  I have yet to see any "large" software product not have some bugs.  I guess as the saying goes, if you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.  So the challenge is to have someone out there create the perfect software.  It can't be done and never will.  Humans make mistakes.

Since you are talking about Vista, then wait at least till RC1, 5472 works fine, but still has lots of bugs.

I believe he is talking about all Windows versions. However, we can generalize it to all Operating Systems Stick out tongue

No, he couldn't get Video Drivers on Vista for his laptop, so that's what he was talking about Wink Stick out tongue

Sounds more like a problem with the manufacturer of the laptop then Microsoft.  Just because Vista not having the drivers is not Microsoft's fault.  Most of the drivers are not written by them.  So for them to not have them in a "BETA" product is not their fault.
