    New ASPnix Site and Plans

I would like to start this thread to hear what you want from new plans and website. Please answer my poll question. Also ask as many questions as possible that you think should be in FAQ.

    Thanks.

If the quality of service will NOT decrease:

    • I want UNLIMITED bandwidth Shared Plans (20.6%)
    • I do NOT want UNLIMITED bandwidth Shared Plans, because it's just not a good idea (79.4%)
You voted for 'I want UNLIMITED bandwidth Shared Plans'.

Unlimited bandwidth is a good idea, but I have chosen "NO", because anyway you will block websites that use too much bandwidth or you may limit the speed, etc. It would be better to increase bandwidth but not to say that it is Unlimited.

Thanks for the vote. I wish more people explain their choice too.

I too have voted "no" as I feel we already get sufficient bandwith and to say it is unlimited is a big step especially if you are not yet sure of the consequences and it may end up driving prices up for everyone....

This is expected. I just really want to see what people think about unlimited bandwidth and prove that "unlimited" bandwidth will not bring much sales comparing to balanced hosting plans with reasonable limits.

    Thanks a lot.

I also voted for no for same reason both users tell before me!

I would prefer balanced plans rather than unlimited stuff.

For me and my CS 2.1 site, I believe that the DB is the performance hog in the system,
    not available bandwith.

    Best regards!

We consume about 10% of available for us bandwidth in case you wonder. In other words we have tons of it, that's why VPS users are so happy Yes. If you have any performance issues, feel free to email support.

Re: New ASPnix Site and Plans

Thank you everyone for the votes. The picture is expected and I have prepared good balanced plans. I wasn't going to do unlimited, but wanted to see what others have in mind. I'm working hard on FAQ and some other heavy content categories of the site, but will try to release the site late sunday and will be adding more and more content.

    Thanks again!

One of the new plans, "unlimited bandwidth" was canceled before it was launched as many of the clients voted against.

    However, a new website will be coming up at any time;
    whenever our CEO wants!!

    Thanks.

I don't know what's the status of ASPnix when it comes to financial and clients. But there are three things I know:

    1. Thankfully aspnix canceled the unlimited <insert something here> plans. I'm yet to see quality, reliability and unlimited in the hosting industry
    2. Every now and then I browse ASPnix forums and its impressive the ammount of people that are complaining about aspnix costumer support. It's obvious that only those that ain't that please come to the boards to post about. But still :)
    3. I really hope that ASPnix starts reworking on the overall quality (of the products and service). There's always a time for everything. By this I mean that there's a time to grow and a time to astablish and work on putting the pieces working together in a well oiled fashion.

Re: New ASPnix Site and Plans

I just received an email from ASPnix team discussing their plans for future. It's nice to see that we're able to post on forums once again. The new site looks cool. It loads faster than the old site. Let's hope everything will get better in 2008 for ASPnix and their clients . That said, let me state that one thing that should be improved is response time to support tickets. For many clients who run a business on their VPS or shared hosting an extended down time can be very critical. It's very natural for a VPS to go down or for a server to fail completely, so as long as the necessary actions are taken in a reasonable amount of time it won't affect any client in a negative way.

    best regards,

    Farshad
