We are working on addressing this issue. You may see MySQL5 go in and out as we adjust the performance settings.

Updated the concurrent connections pool to a higher value number to address the increased connections on our MySQL 5 servers. This should resolve the "too many connections" notice.

Hosts flushed, we are investigating why this keeps happening to the PHPMyAdmin server, you now be able to connect.

Hey, I've got a similar issue and this was the best thread I could find after doing a google search.

I need to log in to PHPMyAdmin on my local university server. The address is: https://www.cs.cf.ac.uk/phpMyAdmin/

    However, I get the response:
    _______________________________________
    Error

    MySQL said:
Host 'blazon.cs.cf.ac.uk' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'
    __________________________________

Can I do the flush host command without being able to access the website? And if so, how can I do it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

Unfortunately you can't. You need to login to server via RDP or SSH and run the command as admin.

The execution of "mysqladmin flush-host" on mySQL Server should fix this issue. To fix the issue permanently increase the value of "max_connect_errors" in mySQL configuration file.

Solution is described here in detail: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/...cked-host.html
