    SMTP outgoing settings in Email clients:

    Set Outgoing Mail Port to 26 or 2525 and SMTP authentication in Outlook Express, Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2002/2003

    To change the outgoing mail port to 26 or 2525 in Outlook Express and Outlook 2000:
    1. Open Outlook Express or Outlook 2000.
    2. Click the
    Tools menu >> then click Accounts.
    3. Click your e-mail account >> then click the
    Properties button.
    4. Click the
    Advanced tab.
    5. In the
    Outgoing Mail (SMTP) box, type 26 or 2525.
    6. Click the
    OK button.
    7. Click the
    Close button.


    Enable SMTP authentication in Outlook Express and Outlook 2000:
    1. Follow step 1 to 3 as above
    2. Under the Outgoing Mail Server section, check the box My Server requires authentication.
    3. Click your e-mail account >> then click the
    Properties button.
    4. Click the
    OK button.
    5. Click the
    Close button.


    To change the outgoing mail port to 26 or 2525 in Outlook® 2002/2003:
    1. Open Outlook 2002 or 2003.
    2. Click the
    Tools menu >> then click E-mail Accounts.
    3. Click the
    View or change existing e-mail accounts option >> then click the Next button.
    4. Click your e-mail account >> then click the
    Change button.
    5. Click the
    More Settings button.
    6. Click the
    Advanced tab.
    7. In the
    Outgoing Mail (SMTP) box type 26 or 2525.
    8. Click the
    OK button.
    9. Click the
    Next button.
    10. Click the
    Finish button.


    Enable SMTP authentication in Outlook XP/2002/2003:
    1. Open Outlook 2002 or 2003.
    2. Click the
    Tools menu >> then click E-mail Accounts.
    3. Click the
    View or change existing e-mail accounts option >> then click the Next button.
    4. Click your e-mail account >> then click the
    Change button.
    5. Click the
    More Settings button.
    6. Click the
    Outgoing server tab.
    7. Click on radio button
    My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication,and verify that the radio button Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
    8. Click the
    OK button.
    9. Click the
    Finish button. SMTP authentication has now been enabled.


    Set SMTP authentication Outgoing Mail Port to 26 in Eudora

    To change the outgoing mail port to 26:
    1. Open Eudora.
    2. Click the
    Tools menu >> then click Options.
    3. Scroll down >> then click
    Ports.
    4. In the SMTP Port (25): box, type
    26.
    5. Click
    OK button.
    6. Restart Eudora.



    Enable SMTP authentication:
    1. Open Eudora.
    2. Click the
    Tools menu >> then click Options.
    3. Scroll down to >> then click
    Sending Mail.
    4. Check the box next to Allow Authentication.
    5. Click
    OK button.
    6. Restart Eudora.


    Set SMTP authentication and Outgoing Mail Port to 26 in Entourage for Mac

    To change the outgoing mail port to 26:
    1. Open Entourage for Mac.
    2. Click the
    Tools menu >> then click Accounts.
    3. Click your e-mail account >> then click the
    Edit button.
    4. Click the
    Click Here for Advanced Sending Options link.
    5. Click the
    Override Default SMTP Port box to place a check mark in it.
    6. In the
    SMTP Port box >> type 26.
    7. Close the Settings window.
    8. Click the
    OK button.
    9. Close the Accounts window.



    Enable SMTP authentication:
    1. Follow step 1 – 4 as above.
    2.
    Check the box next to SMTP server requires authentication.
    3. Close the Settings window.
    4. Click the
    OK button.


    Set Outgoing Mail Port to 26 in Mail.app (default for Mac OSX)

    To change the outgoing mail port to 26:
    1. Open Mail.
    2. Click the
    Mail menu >> then click Preferences.
    3. Click the
    Accounts icon.
    4. Click the
    Account Information tab.
    5. Click the
    Server Settings button.
    6. In the Server Port box, type
    26.
    7. Click the
    OK button.
    8. Restart Mail.



    Enable SMTP Authentication:
    1. Open Mail

    2. Click the Mail menu >> then click Preferences.
    3. Click the
    Accounts icon.
    4. Click the
    Account Information tab.
    5. Click the
    Server Settings button.
    6. For authentication option select Password from drop down menu.
    7. Type your POP3 user name and password (i.e. mailbox@yourdomain.com).
    8. Restart Mail.


    Set Outgoing Mail Port to 26 in Incredimail and Other E-mail Applications

    Ensure that your E-mail program is set to use outgoing mail (SMTP) port 26 or 2525. If the port is set to anything else, the e-mail will not be delivered.
