I would want to know some more about it too. I was looking at Apple TV to replace cable tv to save some money that being wasted on cable tv. I watch only about 5 channels and dont need the rest 500 channels lol. I wonder if I can save with Apple TV or some other alternative online subscriptions like netflix streaming.

That is why i got. Once i finish catching up on my shows on my DVR, I'm going to let my parents get rid of it. It is not needed. Brother in law is helping me set the apple tv up tonight... well I'll be setting it up he is going to guide me through it. If you know anything about jailbreaking ipods you can do the same thing to the tv which opens up so much more. Instead of netflix you can use hulu, SMB sharing from linux or windows and not just itunes.

The quality of the shows with XMBC with Navi-X plugin is just as good as DVDs. I'm loving this...

:) I'll try default one for now. Can you watch all current show that are on cable every week? I mean do they come out the same day or how does it work?

well, the apphole TV costs less than 1 month of Comcast. I want to get rid of Comcast TV as I dont watch it and want to save some money. so Apple TV sounds good.

Where online are you watching stuff? I'd love to get some suggestions and maybe skip on apple too.

You can install XBMC for you computer then install Navi-X... This is the method I'm using. And due to me not being caught up with my tv shows. Idk how long it takes for them to come online.
